ABOUT
Every August, over 250 volunteers from local businesses, community organizations, and corporations come together to paint the homes of individuals with disabilities, veterans, and limited-income homeowners in Salt Lake County in our annual Paint Your Heart Out event.
Since the inception in 1985, NeighborWorks Salt Lake has painted over 823 homes in the community. Our goal of helping homeowners who cannot physically or financially paint their home themselves has many positive impacts, not just for the house itself but for everyone involved. By beautifying just one home, the homeowners feel like a valued part of their community, the neighbors get inspired to spruce up their homes too, and the volunteers know they can truly make a difference for others.
VOLUNTEER TO PAINT
Paint Your Heart Out would not be what it is today without volunteers. It is a great team-building activity that makes you feel good while doing it. Paint Your Heart Out is a great way to get out of the office and make a difference in the community. Sign up today!
We recommend volunteering in teams and we accept applications throughout the year. To sign up your team, have the following information ready:

*We receive many team applications and may not be able to accommodate every team.
SUBMIT A HOME
The Annual Paint Your Heart Out event takes place on one Saturday in August each year with the goal of painting 15 homes. Space is limited every year, so we suggest submitting your recommendation or application EARLY.
Please note the following before submitting your application or recommendation:
» That the homeowner is either a veteran, over the age of 65, or has/ have a disability or cares for a person with a disability.
» That they or you live within Salt Lake County.
*Applying does not guarantee that the home with be selected for the event. All homes must undergo an evaluation by a NeighborWorks Staff Member before eligibility can be determined.
